How a small team automates one job at a time, step by step, ending on a template that runs it. Plus what each automation tool costs.
Make bills in credits, and an operation is one module run on one bundle. What the plans cost, what a five-person team's month uses, and how one iterator or one batch import can spend it before lunch.
I ran n8n self-hosted for a quarter and then on Cloud. What an execution is, what the Starter, Pro and Business plans cost, what the cap means, what the AI adds, and when running it yourself is the cheaper choice.
I set up three everyday automations on Zapier Professional and counted the tasks. What a task is, a sample bill for a five-person team's month, where the bill jumps, and who should stay on Zapier.
Nobody prices AI automation per run, so I worked it out. What a token is, what a run of inbox triage costs on a small, mid and large model, and what a five-person team's month adds up to in credits.
